However, he is shown in the 1900 Census (taken June 1900) as being born October 1899. The earlier date fits the facts. He died on 24 December 1954 at the age of 55 in Wilson, Wilson County, North Carolina.³⁰ He was buried on 26 December 1954 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina.³⁰
