33. Thomas Edward HINTON21 was born on 20 October 1891 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina.2,6,17 In 1930 he was a machinist in the Marine Corps in Chatham County, North Carolina. He died of tuberculosis on 18 January 1944 at the age of 52 at Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina.2,17,22 Thomas lived in Moncure, Chatham County, North Carolina in 1944.17 In 1944 he was a machinist for the railroad in Moncure, Chatham County, North Carolina.17 He served in the military with rank of CMM, US Navy.13 Thomas was buried in Moncure, Chatham County, North Carolina.

Thomas Edward HINTON and Mattie LANCASTER were married on 28 October 1913 in Portsmouth, Virginia.23 Mattie LANCASTER23, daughter of John LANCASTER and Ludie [--?--], was born about 1893 in Rocky Mount, Nash County, North Carolina.23

Thomas Edward HINTON and Alice [--?--] were married about 1925.17,24 They17,24 lived with his sister Mary and her husband Henry Proctor at Highway 50 in Cape Fear Township, Chatham County, North Carolina in 1930.21 Alice [--?--]21 was born about 1898 in Texas.24 She died after 1930 at the age of 32.

Thomas Edward HINTON and Elva MOORE were married after 1930. Elva MOORE was born about 1904. (Elva might be the daughter of Murphy A. and Kate Moore, who lived in Haw River, Chatham County, NC in 1910.)
