John William PROCTOR ^(2)(17) was born on 12 Mar 1862 in Edgecombe Co., NC. ⁽²⁾⁽⁹⁾ He was buried in 1928 in Upper Town Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Wilson Co., NC. ⁽¹⁸⁾ He died in Jul 1928.⁽¹⁸⁾ He owned a farm in Edgecombe Co., NC, near Rocky Mount. ⁽¹⁹⁾ His daughter Betty Proctor was still living in that farm house (Pleasant Hill Road in Edgecombe Co., NC) "until about a year before she died." He was married to Laura BROWN.⁽²⁰⁾ Laura BROWN was buried in Edgecombe Co., NC. ⁽¹⁸⁾ "She is buried in a private cemetary in Edgecombe County, NC. The graves in that cemetary were marked with wooden markers that were unreadable in the early 1970's. The site is located on High Level Road. It is about 1/2 mile from highway NC #43.
