James Christopher HOOKS ⁽¹⁾ was born in 1858. ⁽¹⁾ He died in 1929.⁽¹⁾ He was a farmer and a minister Aycock's Church and Memorial Church in Fremont, NC. ^(1)(33) In addition to the nine children listed, they had "a daughter who died in infancy." He was married to Susan Ida BARNES (daughter of William N. BARNES and (?)) on 5 May 1880.⁽¹⁾ James Christopher HOOKS and Susan Ida BARNES had the following children:
